AEPhi at Cal Poly
AEPhi Beta Lambda is committed to making our space a more diverse, welcoming, and inclusive one. We welcome all sisters, no matter race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, size, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, or any other way in which they identify. We believe in further educating ourselves to be more aware and appreciative of the diverse in our chapter, school, town, country, and world.
Land Acknowledgement Statement
The sisters of AEPhi at Cal Poly acknowledge that we are currently on the land of the yak titʸu titʸu and yak tiłhini Northern Chumash Tribe of San Luis Obispo County who have had a connection to the land for the past 10,000 years. We are committed to honoring the land that we now stand on and further educating ourselves to be more aware and cognizant of the land’s history and the spiritual, linguistic, and cultural connection that the Chumash people have to the land.
EMBRACE
Educating Members to Become Resourceful AEPhis Championing Equity (EMBRACE) is AEPhi's national campaign to incorporate more DEI work into all local chapters. Here at Cal Poly we follow the EMBRACE program so that we can: "open up new avenues for productive conversations and ideas to help serve marginalized communities" (Alpha Epsilon Phi). Each month we commit ourselves to a learning about a topic through programming to better educate ourselves so that we can serve our community.
